Aid
Transports of German Government to Iraq |
THW Deutschland
(Bundesregierung-German Government) has preferably
appointed Cobantur-Boltas for transportation services
from Rehau to Bagdat in November 2003. The primary
need in Iraq right after the war has naturally been
water supply. In order to fulfill the immediate need
to establish water installation facilities in Bagdat,
40 fully loaded vehicles were at government's disposal
to transport the required PVC-Pipes from Rehau to
Bagdat within a time period of 2 weeks. At the Iraq
border of Zakho, the loadings were transferred to
the assigned Iraqi vehicles to be continued. Meanwhile,
real-time communication flow took place that the
German Government was informed regularly about the
momentary loading situation (e.g. arrival, alteration
of license numbers, discharging cargos)
